About St Augustine’s
St Augustine’s Anglican Church has served the Hamilton community for more than a century. We are a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Southern Queensland, shaped by worship, prayer, community, and service.
Our life together centres on Jesus Christ through Scripture, prayer, Holy Communion, and the Anglican tradition of worship. We seek to be a welcoming church where people of all ages and backgrounds can explore faith, grow in community, and find encouragement in everyday life.
As a historic memorial church in the heart of Hamilton, St Augustine’s is also a place of remembrance, reflection, and hospitality for the wider community.
A Welcome from the Rector
The Reverend Canon David Ruthven
Welcome to St Augustine’s.
Our parish is a community gathered around worship, prayer, and the hope found in Jesus Christ. We value thoughtful preaching, reverent Anglican worship, and a warm sense of fellowship and care.
Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, returning to church, visiting the area, or looking for a parish to call home, you are warmly welcome here.
I look forward to meeting you.
